Scart connector is available already from 70s of previous century. It's a 21-pin connector, which was later replaced by HDMI and DisplayPort cennector, but still nowadays you can find SCART input or output port on many devices like old TV sets or projectors, VHS players and VHS recorders, DVD players / recorders and similar. In case you wish to connect such a device to your newer TV with HDMI input, you need either "SCART to HDMI adapter" or "HDMI to SCART adapter", as well as two cables: SCART cable and an HDMI cable. Unfortunatelly there is no such thing as SCART to HDMI cable, what you need is an adapter and separate cables. The signal needs to be actively transformed wo this adapter also needs its own power supply over a USB charger or you can even simply plug it into the TV USB port.
